Tēnā tātou,
Nau mai, piki mai, kake mai ki runga i tō tātou hīkoi a TOA kua takohahia e Te Wānanga o Aotearoa.
Welcome to TOA 2012!! Tau Ora is excited to present another year of TOA for our Kaimahi that has exciting new website features and resources.
TOA is the Te Wānanga o Aotearoa Pedometer Hīkoi that takes place from May to August. This year our Hīkoi will be taking us on a virtual journey through the Pacific Islands beginning at the top of Te Ika a Maui (North Island) and ending in Tumu-Te-Varovaro (Rarotonga)!
When you go onto the website and log your steps, it will convert them to kilometres for you. Your effort helps your team to travel further through the Hīkoi and to the next island.
During the Hīkoi, Kaimahi are able to view information about the location their team has arrived at as well as a local Pakiwaitara (Legend) from that area.
The Hīkoi runs for 13 weeks starting on Monday 7 May and finishing on Friday 3 August 2012.
